Crystallization and Polymorph

Explore a broader preformulation experimental design space with the Crystallization Workflow. You’ll use less starting material and achieve results up to 10 times faster over traditional methods.

Crystallization

The workflow combines hardware and informatics to aggregate Birefringence, Raman, X-Ray Diffraction, and Liquid Chromatography results for viewing, analyzing, and reporting up to 384 formulations at a time, thereby accelerating the decision-making process about which formulations to scale up.

Crystallization

Using only 500 mg of compound, you can prepare, screen, and analyze a library of 384 different formulations in an average of only 4 days.

The Crystallization Workflow integrates microscale, parallel preformulation research from end to end, maximizing experimental design space and lab productivity, allowing a small amount of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) to go a long way. The system features a robotic Core Module with a 96-well master plate and a universal glass substrate, making it easy to use with analytical instruments common in preformulation work. A temperature-controlled filtration assembly enables better control over experimental conditions.

The Core Module is just one component of a fully integrated system that includes third party analytical instruments and Symyx Laboratory Execution and Analysis (LEA) software.

Symyx LEA software runs instrumentation and unifies all analytical data generated from Birefringence microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and liquid chromatography. View and print reports from a single database enabling better and faster decisions on which forms to invest in scale up.
