Milan’s Recordati transitions to MDL® Isentris®and likes what it sees
Recordati, an independent pharmaceutical company based in Milan, Italy, faced the requirement to integrate ever more complex chemical and biological data with its informatics system. At the same time the company wanted to provide researchers with easy access to project-specific data and shield them from the underlying complexity of data models.
For these reasons, Recordati decided to take a close look at the new-generation, open-technology MDL Isentris system that offers tighter integration between chemical and biological data and a self-service research environment.
A key requirement for Carlo Riva and his colleagues at Recordati was to transition to Isentris without losing any of the capabilities and benefits they had built into their legacy system.
"We’ve been able to retain our critical ISIS functionality, while moving to a system with much improved integration and ease-of-use," said Riva. "The new system is demonstrating its power, enabling scientists to access new assay types and related experimental data as soon as they are created."
